New Hunter safety students will receive an email that will direct you to register at NDOW website for Hunter Certification class and a Sportsman Number will be generated by NDOW.

If you already have a Hunter Safety License, the great benefit for attending this course is it has more in-depth knowledge of conservation and safety.

This training package is for the new or experienced shooter.

Age Policy:
There is no minimum age required to take the class. However, students under the age of 10 are required to attend with an adult. The parent(s) or guardian(s) of minor students are required to check-in the minor student(s) with NDOW instructor(s) at the beginning of class and pick-up their student(s) from the instructor(s) at class end. Under no circumstances are minor students to be dropped off or picked up without notifying the instructor(s). Parents or guardians are also solely responsible for student transportation and should notify the instructor(s) at the beginning of class if someone other than a parent or guardian is picking up the student after class.

What to bring: Students need to bring a note pad, 2 Pencils and an eraser.
Bring a lunch and snacks to stay comfortable for each day.
We will have a 1-hour lunch on days 1 & 2 and 10-minute breaks every hour breaks.
Bring a Jacket and dress appropriately for the weather.
Day #2 Hunter marksmanship Live fire 5 hour course
This is a Life Fire training. Before live fire, we cover all points of safety and basic manipulation of the firearm. Students will learn the fundamentals of rifle marksmanship.
NOTE: When students are handling firearms, we have a strict one-to-one Instructor / Student ratio.

Day’s #1 will be taugh at Bass Pro Shops in the Conservation Room. 10am – 6pm with a one hour lunch break.
Day #2 will be at the outdoor shooting range at Boulder Rifle & Pistol Club. We will have Two Sessions. 10am – 5pm
