NRA PISTOL INSTRUCTOR SHOOTING COURSE
This Course is taught by Vetted Training Councelor Maggie Mordaunt.
Prerequisite: Possession of basic firearm safety and shooting skills is a perquisite for certification as an NRA instructor. Prior to the instructor training, candidates complete a pre-course questionnaire and demonstrate their firearm background in pre-course assessment exercises.
Description: Course is presented in two parts: (BIT) basic instructor training, and discipline specific instructor training. Students demonstrate organizational and teaching skills via participation in practical exercises during the course, and complete an instructor certification examination. Students will receive the NRA Trainer’s Guide, NRA Pistol Shooting Instructor Candidate Packet and NRA Basic Pistol Shooting course student packet.
Bring a the following:
Bring a Good Learning Attitude
Please bring a Notepad, Pencils, Pens, Highlighter
Bring Eye and Hearing Protection if you have it. We prefer Electronic Hearing Protection.
Bring a minimum of 100 Cartridges of Ammunition (NO LIVE AMMUNITION IN THE CLASSROOM!)
Bring a reliable handgun of your choice (either revolver OR semi-automatic) We prefer Semi-Auto
Bring a minimum of two magazines for semi-auto’s or one speed loader for revolvers
You may bring a secondary handgun as a replacement if you have it
Bring a Lunch, Snacks and Drinks to keep you comfortable.
We will have 10 minute breaks throughout the day and a 30-minute lunch break.
Course Tuition is $150.00
The B.I.T. will be offered Starting SATURDAY OCTOBER 7th 29th 6pm and is $50
This course is being held at Boulder Rifle & Pistol Club. The Range Fee of $10 is due at the time of the class.
