TCCC – TACTICAL COMBAT CASUALTY CARE
Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) is recommended for ANYONE who is carrying a firearm for self defense and for all combatants. This is a one day (8hrs) course combining classroom and practical exercises for persons not trained as paramedics in order that they may provide quality, “first responder” care to persons injured in combat or critical defensive situations. The course covers basic knowledge of injuries and how they occur. Then, the student learns procedures for care while under fire, tactical field care, and care during transport. Extensive effort is dedicated to bleeding control and airway management. The course concludes with a capstone exercise combining all aspects of the training. EMTs receive 8hrs of CEUs for successful completion of this course.
