The FOHD – Fundamentals of Armed Home Defense course is an Intuitive Shooting course designed to educate the student about the handguns best to use for Home Defense, the difference between staging and storing, and how to deploy. a staged firearm efficiently in the context of a worst-case life-threatening home invasion scenario.
This One-Day course is filled with intense training and practice so that the student may develop the recognition to respond more efficiently in a worst-case Home Defense Scenario.
The course will include the following topics;
The Five Fundamentals of Armed Home Defense;
Evade, Barricade, Arm, Communicate and Respond
Stagging vs. Storing
Fundamentals of Defensive Shooting and Intuitive Skill Development
Defensive Accuracy
The Balance of Speed & Precision
Critical Incident Reload
Understanding the Body’s Natural Reactions during a DCI
Counter Ambush Methodology
The Skill Development Cycle. This course includes a Reality-Based live-fire scenario where the student may apply the skills learned in the course.
The Intuitive Defensive Shooting Course is designed to help the student quickly develop defensive shooting skills that can be applied in a most likely set of circumstances.
CFS is based on years of constantly evolving information about how the body works and what really happens during a Dynamic Critical Incident and has been heavily influenced by the diverse group of Instructors that are certified to teach it and the thousands of students who have been through courses all around the world. The program features a variety of specialty drills and training methods that the student will be able to utilize in their own practice after the course in order to continue to develop their abilities.
Students will shoot approximately 300 – 400 rounds and are welcome to bring more ammunition. There are specific range drills that the round count may be increased.
Students will need a reliable defensive handgun and at least 3 magazines.

Course Tuition is $150: This includes a full day of defense training and a 2023 PDN Training Tour T-shirt and a signed certificate by Rob Pincus and Ken Ortega.
