NRA – Basic Pistol Shooting Course
This Course is taught by Vetted Training Councelor Maggie Mordaunt and the team of Vetted NRA Instructors with HPP Training.
The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA-affiliation.
This course will be taught in the traditional, instructor-led course where you will receive direct instruction from an NRA-certified instructor from beginning to end.
As Certified Defense Shooting Instructors, additional information will be added from the DFC – Defensive Firearms Coach Program. This information makes this the ULTIMATE NRA Course with additional valuable information that is NOT offered by our competetors.
The NRA Pistol Phase II course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude essential for owning and operating a pistol safely.
More Details: This course is approximately 6-hours long with combined classroom and range. Students learn the NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol nomenclature and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest position, and two handed standing positions; cleaning, care & maintenance and continued opportunities for skill development.
Please bring the following:
A Good Learning Attitude
A Notepad, Pencils, Pens, Highlighters
Bring a minimum of 100 Cartridges of Ammunition (NO LIVE AMMUNITION IN THE CLASSROOM!)
Bring a reliable handgun of your choice (either revolver OR semi-automatic)
Bring a minimum of two magazines for semi-auto’s or one speed loader for revolvers
You may bring a secondary handgun as a replacement if you have it
Bring a Lunch, Snacks and Drinks to keep you comfortable.
We will have 10 minute breaks throughout the day and a 30-minute lunch break.
