NRA – Basic Pistol Shooting (Instructor-Led Course)

This Course is taught by Vetted NRA Instructors

The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA-affiliation.

This course will be taught in the traditional, instructor-led course where you will receive direct instruction from an NRA-certified instructor from beginning to end.

Certified Defense Shooting Instructor additional information will be added from the DFC – Defensive Firearms Coach Program. This information makes this the ULTIMATE NRA Course with additional valuable information that is NOT offered by our competitors.

The NRA Pistol Instructor Led course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude essential for owning and operating a pistol safely.

More Details: This course is approximately 8-hours long with a combined classroom and range. Students learn the NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol nomenclature and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest position, and two-handed standing positions; cleaning, care & maintenance and continued opportunities for skill development.

Please bring the following:

A Good Learning Attitude

A Notepad, Pencils, Pens, Highlighters

Bring a minimum of 100 Cartridges of Ammunition (NO LIVE AMMUNITION IN THE CLASSROOM!)

Bring a reliable handgun of your choice (either a revolver OR semi-automatic)

Bring a minimum of two magazines for semi-autos or one speed loader for revolvers

You may bring a secondary handgun as a replacement if you have it

Bring Lunch, Snacks, and Drinks to keep you comfortable.

We will have 10-minute breaks throughout the day and a 30-minute lunch break.

This course is located at Las Vegas Shooting Center. The Range Fee is $25 and is due to LVSC at the time of the range portion. IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are taking the NRA Pistol Instructor Course this weekend, You will also need the NRA B.I.T. (Basic Instructor Training course). The NRA B.I.T. Will begin after the NRA Basic Pistol course. The NRA Pistol Instructor Course will be on the following Sunday after the conclusion of the B. I. T. Practicals.
